As a matter of interest I just googled "google" to see what it came up with.....apart from a link back to Google.

"The term google itself is a creative spelling of googol, a number equal to 10 to the 100th power, or more colloquially, an unfathomable number. Googol was coined in the 1930s and is attributed to the nine-year-old nephew of American mathematician Edward Kasner."

Another day and something learned......therefore not wasted.

A member here (one who previously questioned my credentials to give virological advice and on whose postings I could correct many English language errors if I wanted to be condescending) might well check the word 'condescending' (which you defined for him, anyway). Not you, of course, as I am entirely in agreement with what you wrote and full marks to those who have enquiring minds and prefer to check something than to skip over it.

It is an arbitrary figure but a useful mathematical approximation of infinity. But it is not infinity. Still, there are probably more than a googol of electrons in the universe. I have no cites however (lol)

Hmm.. I should encourage the gf and her family to use Google from now on to converse (maybe Google Translate???) So we can converse without the "huh?" "What?" Usual response. Nothing wrong with that but I really like talking to them they seem like interesting people hehe. Are the translations any good?

Not a reliable way to communicate. You can use it if you also have a basic understanding of Cebuano grammar. It is fairly good for vocabulary. Often spellings can be confusing; for example “kaayo” or “much/very” can be spelled as “kaau” (more Bohol dialect) and Google might not pick it up. Keep at it though; they will really like you for it. Sometimes they run words together and Google cannot understand unless you break up the components. But it us not a complicated language. It has limited vocabulary.
