QUOTE FROM A WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO) OFFICIAL:

“Look what’s happened to small-holder farmers all over the world... Look what’s happening to poverty levels. It seems that we may well have a doubling of world poverty by next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition.”

I'm glad you posted a lot of varied articles because there are people here who will ask for them, as though it is your job to provide them. All governments should ever have done was to provide people with facts about the disease, tell them wearing a mask might save lives of those that are careless with the lives of people they care about, and offer common sense approaches to responsibly lower your own risk, if you deem yourself or those you care about to be at risk.

The world as a whole has ruined the futures of so many. A population of billions has been affected by measures to keep those at risk from getting infected and failed. 115 million worldwide infected, 2.58 million dead, without talking about the believability of the reporting.

Without taking the time to scroll through each of the Articles posted.
All I can say is hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Forgetting the direct effects of the Covid 19 and it's variants, Climate change has been mocked and neglected
for years, you can't buy your way out of that neither. Now we are really paying the true price of so-called progress.

I'm not accusing you of doing it, but what I've seen a lot of is people treating the Earth's climate like it is a football game, with two sides and it really stops the conversation. That the climate is changing should be something no one ever denies, but it can be argued that humans aren't affecting the climate in a meaningful way. Does that mean we should be dumping garbage in the ocean, spewing vast columns of gaseous poison into our atmosphere, and acting like our planet is an infinite resource? Of course not.

If there's anything history shows to be true, it shows the human race to be very adaptable and resilient. We'll find a way to live on this planet no matter how it changes. We might lose some coastline, but as our footprint shrinks, if we're causing this, won't our affect decrease as well until the Earth heals?

Love your optimism....Yes "as our footprint shrinks"........"until the Earth heals" itself, I doubt very much there will be many left to tell the tale.

Clearly lockdowns are causing harm and would have "NOT" if Governments halted China arrivals immediately when the Virus was 1st known @TOTALFAIL!

Other than the obvious........ Ran out of toilet paper and started using lettuce leaves. Today was just the tip of the iceberg, tomorrow romaines to be seen!

Banning everything what's ever originating from China when the virus was 1st known was indeed the biggest mistake taken by Governments all around the world. Nevertheless, high time China will pay for all the harm they caused.

IMO, China has responsibility for both Covid-19 and the sad impact on climate change. I’ve been to Hong Kong and Guangzhou (before Covid) and saw the putrid mess coming down the Pearl River area. If China doesn’t clean that up, little benefit will probably result from the rest of the world addressing climate change. I will not express my negative opinion on China’s Covid-19 responsibility, although using the Nuremberg trials as a model would be a good starting point.
Note: My ex-wife was half Chinese

I lived and worked in China from 2012 to 2014, i lived in Nantong which had the Yangtze run through it and was described as a "medium" sized city of 8,000,000 population.
Every day you could see the smog over the city and some days the air tasted like gas, the Yangtze was definitely a no swim zone.
The city itself was a concrete jungle but the roads were impressive, multi lane highways running all through the city, this did cause a problem if you were on foot and had to cross the road, one night after a death defying struggle to cross a main road i was just congratulating myself on reaching the other side alive when i was nearly sideswiped by a passing e bike, it seems that it was allowed to drive these things on the pavement, most people did not switch on the lights as it wasted the battery and the fact that these things were almost silent did not help.:wtf:

It isn't hindsight. Many have been saying that unnecessary lockdowns will only result in worse economic and health outcomes (much worse than covid itself) from the very beginning. Many just chose to buy into the media and government fear mongering.

Did I miss something? What does climate change have to do with the topic?
