Hi. I am new here and looking around the site to get accustomed to it. I was surprised to find that I am described in my profile as a 'Lurker' and from the Netherlands. I am not Dutch and hope that I am not a 'lurker', whatever the meaning of that is here. Sorry if this not posted in the right place.

The flag in your profile is the Dutch flag but you can change it into any other. Keep on posting and you will no longer be considered as a lurker.

    Welcome Mike.

You will find this forum extremely helpful living here.

What country are you from if not the Netherlands? I'm from England via Australia.

    All the best

    Mike

Thanks. Born in Scotland, but I do not see any flag for that.

So why not choose England's flag - your nearest and most loved nation!

I think you are living dangerously there NMRN.
Years ago I was in Glasgow. When I told this guy I was from Canada he said 'oh okay so your a Yank', an American. Being polite (as most Canadians are) I pointed out Canada and America are totally separate countries. He says 'naw it's all the same'.
For a guy wearing a dress it seems to me he'd have at least a sense of humour. Appearently NOT. Told him his schooling here in ENGLAND was lacking.
It was a learning lesson for me. Some Scot's have no sense of humour and they're very excitable.

"For a guy wearing a dress" you were very lucky not to have received a BIG smacking 'Glasgow kiss'. [Further information available if anyone does not know what that is].

I am not an English citizen, but I like it the way @Notmyrealname is obviously promoting his home country.
