Fellow forum members, I was vaccinated Tuesday with the Jannsen (Johnson & Johnson) jab. It was a very small needle, nothing former military members would even notice. It burned when they injected, but I had no ill effects until later. Having received the dose at 1000, 12 hours later I woke up feeling feverish. As many explain, you don't actually get sick, but your body treats it as a real infection, thereby building your defense. Two days later, my arm is still sore, but I feel like I'm almost 100% already.

The Jannsen jab is a 1 dose shot. I got it via the Kuwait government donating it to the US military here, but it doesn't sound like it is available in the Philippines yet. I like that it was one dose and resulted in the issuance of a COVID vaccine card. Apparently the efficacy isn't as high as the two dose jobs, but I have the card, so I'm happy.

This one would be my preferred choice. One dose, just as good at preventing serious illness and no Chinese government d*ck-beaters have touched it.

Spoke with the barangay nurse in Sagbang after I saw notice for seniors to sign up for the COVID vaccine. She said there is no definite start date, but the information she has says they are aiming for starting in April for seniors. Seniors are slated to get the Astrazenica vaccine. If it actually happens that soon, I will consider a an outright miracle since I didn't think the Philippines would not get around to vaccinating the non-medical, non-political population before 2022.

Asawa and I took our first Moderna jabs Tuesday, in Oklahoma. All we felt was soreness at the site for two days. It wasn't as bad as getting stripes pinned on.

Haha, because you never know where those chicken chokers have been.

No shortcuts will be done in the vaccination and will be based on the availability of supply from the national government and order of priority of DOH, the city government assured. #NewsBite

How do we know this form is put out there by the government? There is absolutely no indication of who made this or who is collecting/storing/using the information.

Note: I'm not accusing you of anything here. A government should not be collecting information in this manner. Full names, identification card numbers, insurance numbers, phone numbers, private health information. Wtf are they doing collecting this information through anything other than an official (and secured) government website/portal? Amateurs.

Rhye, do some work. It's on the City Website. Easy peasy to look. I didn't post that because I already closed it. That's as secure as most of the sign up websites in the USA per Quora. If you don't wanna register that isn't a problem.

I should do the work to see if the survey is legit? A survey from a government should never require someone to "do their own research", it should be painfully obvious who is collecting the information and it should have plenty of disclaimers on where the information is going and how it will be used. They should link straight to the government website and could, with absolutely minimal effort, time and money, provide a form/survey on their own servers. There is zero need to involve Google or any other outside website. If they can't even handle a simple online survey responsibly then there is absolutely no way I'm trusting them to handle the logistics of receiving and distributing a vaccine. I doubt they would even be able to inform me if I was getting a legitimate vaccine made in a respectable country or some shady Chinese knock off (which would be any vaccine made in China) shrouded in mystery with limited trial data released. I don't blame the local population for being so reluctant to get vaccines.

I understand they have Sinovac and AstraZeneca available. You don't get to choose, you take which one they are using at the time you go in for your appointment.
