Well with the unexpected start to 2021, are we now starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.
What would you like to see happen between now and the start of next year?
How have the last 12 months, changed your views and plans and do you look at life differently? It's a big question..........

I did expect 2021 to start.

I want to see my bank balance zoom up.

I tend to stay the same whatever happens around me - just monitor, adjust what I can and accept what I cannot.

But on a World view, I am sure I share the same thoughts of billions of people in hoping for some degree of success against Covid-19, a reduction in suffering, more freedom for the oppressed (most of us) and that if aliens do arrive they are gentle folk (i.e. images of Mr R).

I'll take that part as a serious answer, but I am hoping for peoples thoughts to post covid, when things get back on track, has their experiences made them think differently about the future.

Serious answer, my friend: I don't think I will change much after (if) the pandemic is over - probably just travel a bit more again. But I always expected a pandemic (as in 1918's flu pandemic) and will just make sure I am stocked up again on masks and a few supplies. It has not changed my thinking as it is an expected event and we just have to go through it and come out the other side. My analogy for life is a rail journey - the pandemic is just another tunnel (but a much longer one than I expected).

    I don't know.
Between now and end of the year would like to see some international travel start. I guess most would.

I would like to see another correction in the market but I think its unlikely.

The last 12 months haven't changed my view and I don't look at anything differently but it has changed my travel plans.

Those who can time it exactly should already be multi-millionaires - but it is coming and eventually a big one. The world is awash with debt - governments are insolvent. How long can flimsy cards be stacked upon other flimsy cards before they all fall down? I think stocks are at a P/E of 40 - I was taught that 14 is about right. But economics moves on, reinventing itself to cover the cracks. Perhaps that is the present and the future? I hope this major crash does not happen - it is going to hurt a lot of people. I would rather not profit from another's misfortune.

All stocks? Every one of them? There are no companies that have done well throughout this pandemic that are safe to invest in?

Wait, what country are you from again?

Of course some stocks are good - often the insiders have them! But a p/e ratio of 40 compared with 14 tends to mean the whole market is over-reached. In a fall, most shares will dip - it is very lucky the person who can pick those which will stay up or fall slightly (even the 'experts' manage to lose money for their millions of clients). Anyone who can pick a rock-solid set of shares should go into the financial industry.

    Philippines.
