Is it just my area that the power is back out again?

How do you turn off the power for 12 hours to run repairs, turn the electricity back on and then one hour later you get a brownout for another hour plus? (No telling how long this will last.) There would be riots and lawsuits/penalities/fines in the millions in any developed country.

Going to the NORECO/NGCP social media pages not a single recent complaint that I could find. Amazing.

    SSSSHHT, you will upset people.

Seriously though, probably just a spanner left inside a junction box, easily done when you have had to work 12 hours straight.

Especially when you are not really sure what you are doing in the first place, your entire work experience is making illegal connections for your friends.

Hopefully nobody was connected to the spanner

I hate to complain BUT since the maintenance work done on Sunday 11th we have had so many power cuts that i have lost count, almost every morning the time on my radio alarm is blinking which means the power was off during the night for an unspecified length of time, these type of power cuts don't really bother me because i am sleeping and don't really need electricity but the question still has to be asked WHY do they happen so often.
Now we come to what really annoys me and that's the power cuts almost every evening around 8 or 9pm lasting 40 or 50min, last night was only 10min so cause for celebrations.
Whatever else they did on Sunday apart from replacing poles i think needs to be checked over by a COMPETANT person if that is possible.
NOTE to all the keyboard commandos don't waste your trigger fingers telling me that this is a third world country as that is blatantly f*ckin obvious.

    I don't know.
    Where do you live?
I and I assume many others who are not complaining have had more stable electricity service.
Are you at the end of a rural road?

I have seen a noticable increase in brownouts in Valencia. They usually take place late at night/early in the morning. Before I would have never noticed these brownouts but now the UPS starts to beep when the power is out and my "smart home" is quite stupid when power is restored; all the lights turn on at full brightness, my fan turns off (and stays off until I turn it back on with a voice command) and the robot vacuum starts to clean.

We are in Valencia, we are on a rural road but not at the end, there are 5 other properties visible all get the same power cuts as us.
I check our power supply now and again and it is never more than 210 volts, i have tried tracing the feed that comes to our house back to the transformer to see how far away it is and how many supplies feed from it but never managed as the wire disappears into thick forest that i am not so keen to go into (i don't like spiders and snakes is my favourite song lol)

I am the opposite - I turn everything off and stay in. So if ever I become available I will let you know.
