    Tbe best verse.
"the words of the prophet are written on the subway walls and tenement halls"
    Edit
You could also mean no roosters, no karaoke, no motorcycles without mufflers or the nonstop barking of dogs on short chains.

my favorite sounds; the local birds.
www.xeno-canto.org is a wiki kinda site for bird songs. the recordings are nowhere as good as the real thing but should give a person an idea.
to hear the birds song; single click the download arrow in the ''actions'' column.

there's another sound that i can't name but it happens when my two adjacent neighbors are gone; guess i could call it quiet if weren't for the dogs, roosters, goats, muffler-less riders and the (4) neighborhood construction projects racket. it's best heard at daybreak on sunday mornings and at times between 1am and 5 am.

I want to murder the local birds in my area. Worse than a car alarm going off...and they start early. Good thing firearms are not allowed for foreigners.

Another massive fan of Dylan here! I must be an old romantic (lol) for liking 'Love minus Zero' and 'To Ramona', plus a bit odd (yeah) for liking 'Winterlude'.
