This is the point in time, as written about here before, where those who were protected by being here, with a very low number of cases (and those mostly in the largest cities), rather than being in their home countries, see a reverse situation, whereby their home countries, with high vaccination rates, have now become the safer havens! The situation is only going to get much worse here as they will not keep up with variants - as you said, vaccination rates are already far too low.

Edit: Just read that they are "eyeing" to vaccinate 100,000 per day. 'Eyeing' and 'doing' are very different things!!! But 100k per day = 3 years for 100 million people (1 dose) or 6 years (2 doses). Just hope that 1 dose will prevent serious illness and so stop hospitals being overloaded. The result of keeping the economy sluggish, at best, for another 2 to 3 years is unimaginable. And will tourists, even vaccinated ones, visit countries still in the throes of a pandemic?

    Hypocrites!

The National government overruled the provinces regarding 14 day quarantine for travel between the provinces.

Now, having made sure that the provinces have the more infectious variants and that their case numbers are greatly increasing, the national government is going to prioritize the NCR area with 90% of the vaccines.

They might as well keep 100%, the amount of vaccine they have is such a tiny drop in the bucket compared to what is needed.

But the amount they plan on getting should help the most at risk groups in the country. It is not optimal but younger people really don't have to worry much about covid or the variants ending their lives. (If there is a variant killing a significant percentage of young healthy adults please provide a source showing exactly the mortality rate per age group.)

Sometimes nature is a b*tch. Those with weakened immune systems sometimes just don't survive. No point in f*cking the entire world economy for those that are already past their expected life expectancy or never should have survived in the first place.

Rye you have a endearing way with words and speak with such passion.
I wonder what your own life expectancy might be?
I thank God for the Doctors and Nurses on the front line in every Country, along with the many people who have survived lifes traumas.
I also gain wisdom and knowledge from others experiences, below an extract from Word for Today UCB.

They are both wrong. DGTE are reporting 144 active following recoveries yesterday. Provincial report lags behind this.

I actually think they report things differently, and I'm interested in the entire province. I'm used to all the sources disagreeing.
