My new Sky Cable has limited channels, aside from HBO, Netflix and Youtube. I have a smart TV and would like to stream ESPN and CNN. Can someone please advise! Thanks

I can see tv channels from all over the world with IPTV, the first year I had it, I get it through an English guy he makes advertisement through FB, I know many here in Dumaguete use him, private as well as restaurants/bars. I find it amazing because I have a big passion for sport, especially football, and boxing and can follow that live, at the moment there is European Championship in Football. I show it to a friend who asks, how much do you pay for it when I told her the amount, she told me she has had IPTV for years and download it from Shoppee for around 1600 pesos a year, it's a steal have tv channels from all over the world for that price. The English guy is there to install it for you and give you technical support if needed but for another and higher price. Your internet speed should be 15 Mb to stream without "buffer', my experience is I still have had a few "buffer" even with 30 Mb but just this week Globe pass by without me ask them, if I was interested in an upgrade from 30Mb to 35 Mb and same time gets fiber for the same price 1899 pesos a month, I say yes thank you, I live in Bacong. It works perfectly, nearly no buffer if any "buffer" it's under 2 sec. If you want the English guys phone number and Fb account pm me

Can the TV be a standard TV (using a box I assume)? So you pay for the box (connected to your router and TV) and then an annual fee to a provider?

ESPN is bundled with the Disney+ and Hulu package. HBO Max can be purchased as well. I have both and they are worth the money. VPN required.

Yes if you don't have Smart tv you can buy a box, around 3000 pesos in Shoppee, connect with a cable to your tv and wireless wifi works fine. Another amazing thing that surprised me, even pay per view I seen with the Smart box for free

That is not all the espn channels, you will miss out on much without ESPN,ESPN2, ESPN3.There isn't a good streaming option for those unless you could VPN and do Hulu or You Tube TV.

You get the ESPN+ streaming service with a Disney bundle subscription. It is not just the main ESPN channel.

You get all those sports, their ESPN originals and tons of live streaming (I see ESPN+, ESPNU, ESPN2 and others under some of the streams). I think you get the full ESPN catalog with ESPN+. I don't really watch any of it, minus a few of the originals, as I'm not a sports fan. I only have it because it was included with the Disney and Hulu bundle.

And yes, you need a VPN to access Disney, Hulu and ESPN from the Philippines. Though ESPN does have some (very limited) programming available to people outside the US.

Btw, if you have a smart TV it needs to be VPN compatible (my new Google Chromecast has this option but the older one I had did not) or you will need a router that is VPN compatible for these streaming services to work on the TV.

ESPN+ gives you select programming. Most of it covers the basics of sports, but it lacks the high draw names of the sports. For me, I love watching college basketball, but ESPN+ does nothing for me to watch any higher profile games. There are some mid major games, which can be fun to watch, but i follow Syracuse specifically as it is near where I grew up and I cannot get their games with just a plus package.

That being said, as streaming becomes more and more mainsteam, I do believe at some point ESPN will have to offer better packages as a stand alone service. There are plenty of sites out there you can find to stream games for free anyhow.Redditt is one of the best spots you can go to find them.
