It will, but most of the drinkers here know how to get it on the sly. I have no contacts, but I get drunk a couple of times a year.
I completely forgot about the ban as I have a decent supply at home. Went out to eat yesterday and ordered a drink with our dinner without even thinking about it (or being sly about it) and they brought the drinks out no questions asked or reminder about the ban given. It wasn't until we were leaving that we remembered there was one and joked about the enforcement.
I experienced the same you can eat and drink in restaurant/bars if you know where to go, don't ask me answer this in a public place
I know you have not asked me, but: You set out clearly here already your health issues and concerns. In your case I would get vaccinated to give you the freedom you desire. Hope no one is offended if I butted in here.
I would never tell someone they should get vaccinated. Like many things, not for everyone. Once I have my second vax, I am not be worried to hang out with non-vaxers (did I just create a new label)?
They had a nice video out that showed how the long route can be collapsed with Phase 2 & 3 running slightly staggered alongside each other. It made a lot of sense.
Well, wait two weeks after the second jab. I'll still do mask protocol, only hang out with a few anyway. For health reasons I would choose to avoid anti-vax. About 5 years ago I had a chronically infected sweat gland removed. Discussions with the Doc lead to him thinking that my immune system was down. I had been sick for a month. I've taken steps to help, but, who knows? I still traveled, but got slightly sick in Cambodia. But I feel fine.
The whole breezy way you go from billionaires foisting vaccines to you transmit anyway. I pointed out to you that from the beginning there were no promises you couldn't catch it and transmit. But it isn't that it has no effect on transmission. It reduces chances of catching it, but the important one to me is, does it reduce your chances of hospitalization, and also death? It does.
