Maybe my wife is typical of locals when it comes to getting vaxed (maybe not). She would need to see a family member or close friend get the vaccine and see if they are okay after, then maybe get it. Just doesn’t trust it. I wish she would take it but her choice. All her extended family are same.
My wife's family were the same but my wife decided to have the vaccine. Now the whole family are following. Good on 'er I say!
My wife is the opposite, she is the one who wanted us to get it and the neighbours around us got it some time ago. I was a bit of an anti vaxer regarding any covid vaccine but i decided to get it for the reason that it soon looks like you won't be allowed to go anywhere or do anything unless you have had it. When my wife went to the local health centre to register us she was told that Astra Zeneca and Sinovac were both available but surprise surprise when the big day came and after we queued up in a big hall with lots of other people with not too much social distancing Astra Zeneca out of stock so we took the Sinovac. We got the second one almost a month ago and no side affects, this started me thinking as my son and daughter in the UK both had the Moderna vax and both had a whole day of feeling bad as if they had flu, so were my wife and i just lucky or was the Sinovac just sterilised water (if we were lucky) or maybe just tap water .......
Some say the Sinovac has no side effects because it's weaker. My parents and their friends use to go to Chinatown for dinner. They would come back saying, "Chinese food! One hour later and you are hungry again!" Sinovac is like that.
I know two Filipino relatives who were vaccinated and died: One was a 65 year old male (I think he already had high blood pressure) who was vaccinated with Sinovac and the same night had very high blood pressure - he died two months later. This is not solid evidence because of his existing state of health (but he had the vaccine to reduce his risk from the actual virus!) and the length of time between vaccination and death. His 20 year old healthy daughter then had Moderna and she died three days after the vaccination. I don't know what the rest of the family decided but if they became more cautious then no-one can blame them!
Unfortunately, I'm sure there are some that would blame them. "March them in, get them vaccinated, it will protect others. Their personal experiences are irrelevant." Sad, really. So much of the world is fighting for liberty but some members can't even admit a person's body belongs to them.
My body belongs to me, but I also realise that I have a responsibility to my family and others. As for the other quote...... Very sad to hear of that situation. However they may of already come into contact with virus not knowingly or both had underlying factors, seems strange the daughter, so young died so shortly after vaccination?
Agree!! Basic common sense is to abide by the general excepted time line for a vaccine to be approved under guidelines that have been well established for a few decades now. Fools rush in. It may be wise to get a rushed, forced. pressured vaccine............it does not equate!!!!!!!!!
Doesn't mean much to the rest of this 65 year old's family, but I'm glad he tried, if it makes you feel safer.
