its g its better than good that this site is not his/her sole form of income, that he/she has a secondary or tertiary stream of income is more than a smart move, and i will soon be adding to their wealth as its solar for me along with a new kitchen and a few other sundries, time to buy the neighbours towering mango trees
They do solar? Also, being the previous owner of this website, I highly doubt this website brings them any significant source of income. They likely just break even, more of a marketing/advertising tool for them. Peanuts compared to what their real estate, construction and tourism sectors pull in.
DPX Solar Installations, they are called, the write up on their Web Site is written by Gord, At the tail end of last year they were offering a system for P320 all inclusive and I seem to think that was 7.6KW? It will be 7 years at the end of this year that I fitted a 4kw to my house in Scotland, it is grid tied and I get a return of around $750 year, from the electricity supplier, and a saving on electric during daytime this cost $7K to fit, I think by the end of next year it will have paid for itself? so DPX at just over $6K for nearly double the output is a fair price I would say. You may have noticed a guy from Valencia in a Red Pickup with Solar Systems on the side of it? (drives a bit aggressive) I only know his name is Jeff he offered me a 7.6 KW system some two years ago, he wanted $10K for that and I later found out he uses the cheaper Polycrystalline Panels and not the Monocrystalline which are more effective and last that bit longer, I would hazard a guess and say the Poly is only 80% as efficient after 20yrs, where the Mono is over 90%
Solar power, batteries can really run yah and are high cost. I have a friend back in Cottage Country in Canada and I saw a (five car dynamo) system he set up and powered the entire Cottage with it, and at the same time using Carpentry power tools and having cold beers 24/7. It was a good many years ago I saw this, but it was similar to what's in the video.
https://dpxsolar.com/hybrid-system/ Their hybrid system (grid tie + 4 deep cycle batteries?) is 3KW @ P330k. Off-grid 2.4KW with 2 batteries is P215k. Grid-tie only 1.1KW price is unclear but ROI suggests P108K. I don't know much about solar but the hybrid system seems like the best deal.
Since the Sunday maintenance we have had multiple black outs at our area in Valencia due i think to the almost constant heavy rain. I hope after all the poles are replaced the next maintenance task will be weatherproofing all the system connections. The insulating tape does not seem to be up to the job.
