Tonight I will take my wife to a virtual reality dinner. For my forum friends across the pond, I chose Ramsey’s Michelin-rated Chelsea restaurant. Last night we had a great dinner at the Connaught Hotel where we are staying (another Michelin-rated restaurant.
    So tonight:
Share a bottle of Bollinger champagne to wet the appetite
Summer salad each (smoked duck, blackberry, beetroot, hazelnut
Starters - share ravioli lobster, langoustine, salmon, lemon
Share dover sole “grenobloise” (can’t resist)
    Share beef wellington and potato
    Dessert - share pecan preline
Wine - Petrus (marked off my bucket list)
After Dinner Drink - wife had Bailey’s on the rocks, I had 25 yr old McCallum
Bill arrived, handed it to my wife and told her how much I appreciate her.

Was chosen to work along side (Mosimon) whom is renowned in the UK as a top Chef. Worked for him under a VIP Umbrella when he came to Canada to cook for 1 month for a Canadian Philanthropist in one of his 4 star Hotels (he owns many)

Anyways........... was the best 30 days of the finest dining one could imagine.

Read up on him here. He is an amazing Chef.

Why is it that the more famous a Restaurant becomes, the plates get bigger and the food gets smaller?
Just spent a week in Cornwall and visited amongst other places Carbis Bay where the 2021 G7 Summit was held.
Possibly the nicest meal of the week was at a Thai restaurant in a fishing village called Looe.
The meal consisted Chicken, cashew nuts, pineapple chunks and sultanas, served with rice in a hollowed out Pineapple.
Together with a locally produced bottle of Rose from the vineyard of Polgoon, may not be rich, but life gets better as one gets older.

Not this trip, but have been there previously, we visited Polperro, Fowey, St Ives and Lands End this time and stayed the week at Looe.

I've been to those places except Polperro. I hope you knew how to pronounce Fowey or the locals will call you an 'Emmet'!

Some visitors spend the week at Looe and others, unfortunately, the week on the loo.

Am I right to pronounce Fowey as Foy.......Emmet refers toAnt/ Ants....those who are all over the place in Summer but disappear when the weather becomes inclement. Access to Polperro is very limited due to the narrow streets, a short walk down hill from the main parking area, but so picturesque. IMG_20211020_151129.jpg

Yes, it is pronounced 'Foy' - you can be a Honorary Cornishman! You know Mousehole?

Narrow streets/lanes - tell me about it! Driving hundred of yards in reverse up a steep lane is no joke.
