For those who took two doses of Sinovac-CoronaVac or Sinopharm, the third dose should be taken 90 days after the second dose...

Persons who have received two doses of Sinovac-CoronaVac or Sinopharm but are able to receive the mRNA vaccines are recommended to receive a PSAR mRNA vaccine as the third dose of the primary vaccination series.(PSAR is their approval committee)

MOH does not recommend the use of Sinovac-CoronaVac or Sinopharm as a booster vaccination. The exception is for persons who are unable to receive an mRNA vaccine due to medical reasons, such as an allergy to the mRNA vaccine.

I notice they have not given a reason for citing an mRNA vaccine as the booster shot, but they did write "initial data from an early-stage trial from the companies behind the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.... " and those companies have a vested interest.

I would be interested to know if other scientific articles back their claim for using their vaccine type as a booster (i.e. a profit booster).

 

I'm sorry, but that's a bit too cynical for me.
Obviously, since in most cases it is governments that are paying for those vaccinations (and for the booster shots), and because those same governments would no doubt much prefer to buy cheaper vaccines from other suppliers, the scientific advisory bodies of all these governments must be totally daft if they're all advising these expensive mRNA boosters for no good reason at all, against the pretty strong financial interest of the governments that pay those advisory bodies.

 

Pfizer says antiviral pill cuts risk of severe COVID-19 by 89%

Nov 5 (Reuters) - A trial of Pfizer Inc's (PFE.N) experimental antiviral pill for COVID-19 was stopped early after the drug was shown to cut by 89% the chances of hospitalization or death for adults at risk of developing severe disease, the company said on Friday.

The results appear to surpass those seen with Merck & Co Inc's (MRK.N) pill, molnupiravir, which was shown last month to halve the likelihood of dying or being hospitalized for COVID-19 patients also at high risk of serious illness. read more

Google is your friend. China is using Pfizer as a booster and a plant is being built for production, but no data released, but mums the word to the general population, looks like it's for party members. UK does it.
