I don't see any info at forexcargo about sending stuff to the US or UK, only the other direction.
I think finding an agent to send stuff from the Philippines to the US or Europe at a reasonable rate is going to be a lot harder than the other way around.
I found that for instance LBC will provide the service, but at about 10 times the going rate for a balikbayan box in the opposite direction.

I tried to ship with DHL and FedEx yesterday and they wanted 5200 peso to send a 1.5 kg box (shipping to the states) and I pulled up the shipping fees online and the cheapest with the same weight and destination was 1600. I showed the lady in fedex and she said I would need use the site to get that pricing and she would just scan the code when I brought the box back in. I asked her why it was so much higher to use the store and she said it was their added fees..... So they are charging almost 80 dollars for fees.....

I would suggest going to the FedEx site and registering, you need to add a CC so that they can bill you for the shipping but you get a 40% discount on shipping. You just need to print the label and put it on the box to be shipped and then drop it off. The site offers express but the retailers don't, they tell you up to 2 weeks but it usually gets there in a week.

That's cheap. I recently tried to ship a small box (cell phone) from the US to here with FedEx and they wanted over P12k. Went with Johnny Air for 1/5th of the price.

Just got back from FedEx and they didn't want to ship my package. I shipped it International Economy which was 1600 vs 4200 (on the site) for the next step up and the one the FedEx rep said they only offered (which was more expensive than the 4200 from the site) and told me that I needed to redo it for the 4200 version. I explained to her that the site knew my location and that it had offered it to me so it was available but might not have been available to purchase through them (there was no difference in the delivery dates, they guaranteed both would be there on or before the 13th). So she finally agreed and its gone and they didn't charge me a dime at the drop location which I was really surprised about.

If you do use the online site to do your shipping be sure to take 3 copies of the tracking number (which you will get in PDF form and then just print it off) and the Pro Forma form (a PDF provided by FedEx) , which is a customs sheet stating the value and such and the site will automate the form for you but you need to find the Harmonized Tariff number which is an international ID number for the item you are shipping. I was able to google and find the correct number. The only thing I was in question about was the customs fee which I agreed to pay, not sure if I will be billed to my FedEx account or what.

What I found out from the rep is that they offer no express to the states and that they charge you the highest price of the slowest delivery of what was listed on the site.

Also wanted to add that you don't need to put the tracking slip on the packaged. FedEx will supply a clear pouch that sticks to the box that all the copies will go into. I guess its so customs and such can inspect the paperwork.

I really never thought shipping something out of here would be this hard. My wife and I have a small business that creates custom crafts and not sure if I can do many orders for the states if the shipping fees will be this high. If I was a buyer I wouldn't be crazy about paying such a high shipping fee. There really should be another option that is cheaper.

The only time I have shipped something to the US from here has been a fingerprint card to the FBI for a security clearance. I used LBC for that. Anything else I would send to the US would be ordered from Amazon and shipped domestic. I just don't have a need to send anything stateside. It is always going the opposite direction.

We went to LBC first and they told us that they didn't ship to the states that we would need to contact DHL or FedEx....

For US TO Philippines, try new ShippingCart.com, part of LBC. Send to warehouse in Hayward CA, they air to Dumaguete in two weeks for a fraction of cost of dhl or fedx. First shipment was flawless. Some restrictions, check the list on the website, like electronics.
