Same problem today with my PLDT fibre (snail speed since this morning) plus I don't have signal for mobile phone here in Valencia. So bad!

Yeah, (PLDT fiber here also) it feels like I'm back in my 14k4 dial up modem days, the only difference being that every modern website is at least 50 times as heavy as they were back then.
The gossip on Messenger is that it might be caused by a large mango tree that fell down today near NORSU. PLDT themselves sent out a message saying they are "working on a technical problem" and that they "expect to have it fixed within 24 to 48 hours".

Whatever it was, luckily it didn't take 48 hours, back to normal speed here just now

Our internet was fine yesterday morning then we had a power cut at 10.30 am until 1.30 pm, after that the speed was almost 0.
I put it down to the power cut but maybe just a coincidence.
Just checked the speed today and its showing 85mbps

PLDT seems to have been especially bad in the last month or two and the problems tend to be specific areas but over the whole country (so, for example, some parts of Dumaguete but not all parts but then also affecting parts of Mindanao and Luzon) - these areas change over a period of few days (the bad become better and the good become worse!).

    This is from https://downdetector.ph/status/pldt/ ay 5 p.m.

Great! NO problems. BUT ....... comments from social media give a different story:

PLDT left me without internet for 6 days, the other week. Despite Phoning them up almost every day. A group of PLDT workers showed up asked me what the problem was, I said no connection, he said we will let Manila office know. Then they left not to be seen again, another team of PLDT showed up a few days later and fixed the broken line.

Same ole same old, I cut them some slack for the past week and a half, but it's still the same story, customer pays for 100 Mbit download speed, and what I get is
    upload_2021-12-26_18-18-5.png
So ping (server reply time) is fine to PLDT's own server in Manila, download is lousy to the point of being useless, upload number proves there's nothing wrong with any cables or whatever,
ping internationally is lousy download abysmal, even worse than from Manila, upload not good but acceptable.
It's a capacity thing, they buy in a certain bandwidth, then sell that bandwidth two hundred times to unwitting customers pretending they will all get what they pay for.
    Not a happy camper here.

Well no PLDT since before the Typhoon, NO power also with no end in sight here in the province (Datagon Pamplona) and spending 1000 pesos a day in fuel for the Gen so you can feel better than us LOL... glad we all weathered Odette and wishing a happy and healthy new year to you all

    I don't know.
FilProducts has been having the same issues in the afternoon and evening.
Very early in the morning it is up to its fast normal speed. As the day goes on it gets slower and slower.
Not sure if the issue is Odette or Christmas. Maybe everyone downloading to their new gadgets they got for Christmas. It was not this bad before Odette.
