To those of you that had the gut's to step out from the western normal way of life.
I'm sure there are times when possibly for health reasons or family ties, you think this might be the time to head back to the shack you left behind.
Just when I thought staying put here in UK, (partly health reasons ) was the right decision and on top of all the chaos that is happening around us, today another slap in the face arrived!
Fully aware of the struggles many in the Philippines or elsewhere contend with on a daily basis this might seem trivial, so whats my reasons to gripe?
Many of my fellow country men, sorry persons ( politically correct ) will face 2022 with the biggest hike in energy prices ever seen.
God help those on small incomes or living on just their state pension alone.
My energy supplier has just announced an increase of well over 100%
In simple terms it will give low income families the only choice to "Heat or Eat"
I think this is the first stroke of a larger picture to be painted in 2022

It's an increase surely and fixed rated for 24 months....meaning after 2 years they can quadruple the rate. Usual 1st World bullshit. Perfect EG. of Globalists in action.

In your shoes I would not opt for a fixed rate plan at this point in time John.
It would seem to me that the economic recovery is going to grind to a halt if not worse, in view of the recent pandemic developments and the economic trouble brewing in China and elsewhere. I don't think energy prices will remain this high.
Moreover a price hike like that will push many many people (and companies) to invest in solar panels for sure, so demand is going to fall. The Saudi's and their Opec partners are digging their own grave.

Oil touches every single thing in your life. Plastics, foods, goods, electronics (including solar panels and wind turbines), vehicles, the roads we drive on, building supplies, drinking water, creams we rub on our body, all-natural-gluten-free-non-gmo almonds...you name it and oil either produced it, delivered it, makes it work, and/or all of the above. If energy sales go down the price of everything else will go up just a bit. OPEC is going nowhere and Saudi will keep producing oil.

Well I have just done a comparison price check and another supplier is still high, but a greater saving than on my present supplier.......

Those are crazy prices for energy. Gas being the cheapest might justify building a natural gas pipeline from the Middle East to Europe. Some speculated the war in Syria was really about getting Qatar gas to Europe and reducing dependence on Russia.
Lately there has been a push for renewable resources but there has also been mummering's that nuclear energy is cheap and reliable. Some claim that green energy is too expensive others claim nuclear is too dangerous. Whatever is driving the price increase doesn't matter but something is going to have to change.
The stock market is not something I understand but it seems like investing in the Military Industries might be a hot tip. Has there been a reasons given for a sharp rise in prices other than OPEC and greed?

Somehow I'm thinking this post should be in the thread about being cynical.

    Edit.
The natural gas reserves in Saudi Arabia are huge. I commissioned some compressors motors at a gas oil separation plant in KSA. There were 12 motors at 20,500 Hp each pumping natural gas back into the ground to keep pressure on the oil wells. That's 1/4 million Hp pumping natural gas 24 hours a day 7 days a week for more than 20 years. This is at only one site. The Middle East has a lot of gas to sell.

Inflation in it self is a device to make the middle class and poor..... more poor. Wages will never increase to an equal level and that has one resolve only which is collapse. And it is intentional. Agenda 21 is REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is a ridiculous increase. I am not sure there is a true justification for it. You are looking at more than 10% of the average income going toward energy alone. For retired people it is a whopping 33%. It is criminal unless there is some form assistance available, and even then...

First time hearing of this Agenda. Who is responsible for inflation in your theory?
