Dan, only a few months ago people were posting that JRS charges 35k and Dreamland 21k all-in. What happened that suddenly makes the price flying up?
that price is good if you have 6 months before you have to leave the country... if not then you must use the "expedited service with an additional 35k for Dreamland and 25k for JRS "
is there a official document spelling out the compassionate tourist extension visa service from Immigration ?
I took out an Insurance policy on my wife through Prudential on the blvd. She isn't home right now so I can't provide the details.
I think I will file my 13a this month 3 months before my 36 month limit and if it is not approved by then i will apply to overstay and pay whatever fees and penalties which will be no where near the 35k that Dreamland wants for expediting my visa application ...
13a visa means also that you must file a Philippines Tin # back in your home Countries and may be required to file yearly income tax even if no money was earned. Many with a 13a do not get nor report a Tin number and this can result in a tax nightmare back in your home Country, effect pension payments even and in Canada for example can be fined 500 dollars.
You can apply for 4 months overstay with touristvisa, cost 25 k pesos+ visa fee, you can't be sure you will get a positive reply and 25 k is lost, it's a minor problem along with being forced to leave against your will. I have a kid here and tought it would allow me to return to presenting baptistmal certificate in customs, that not how it works, I have to apply to the Philippine embassy in the country I am travelling to for permission to reenter the Philippines, and when one knows about the bureaukrati here, I wonder how long time that will take. For sure I will not be trapped in Malaysia or Hong Kong, why should everything be so complicated in the Philippines. For the sake of understanding, I'm on tourist visa, and get my information at immigration office in Dumaguete today. You can apply for 4 months extension/overstay 1 month before your 36 months have expired. Sorry for my poor English
