    I don't know.
I was looking there in the new CH and saw Cabinets that I thought were metal, perhaps they are the plastic ones? I never bothered to inqire about them or ask the price? however they are a good idea and I was a little surprised to see that here.

    Yes,
Your process sounds like it would work on a larger building using steel for studs that are 8 or 10 ft tall at 4ft spacing and crossbars.
    What do you think?

So far all of the steel studded buildings I have seen have another structure to support the roof. @DAVE1952 used angle iron trusses as columns to support the roof.

Buildings built with wooden studs support the roof on their own.

I do not know if there is an engineering reason why steel studded buildings do not support the roof.

There is no good reason that I can see to not use Steels studs Throughout the building, I admit to making a mistake to use so much angle iron to build a pillar and beam structure to support the steel stud frame of the house, that was never ever required and all done in ignorance, remember I have said in the past I have never built a house before and mine is well over engineered in some respects? but my design choice was never very well planned either, that 45 degree roof was a big mistake and I was lucky it survived the big storm last month.

If you care to look at the Octagon Bar you will see a complete building all done with Steel Studs including the roof trusses, as I understand it this is a kind of Pre-Fab build, this is all made using GI steel U shaped Channel, although you may call it C Channel coming from US and reading from that Jester dictionary of yours?

4ft spacings and crossbars did you have a few bottles of Red Horse before you said this? the very minimum spacing for any Stud framed building is 2ft om centre, but 16inch is better, 12inch is even better still but has no real advantage over the 16's? crossbars (noggins) ars are never required with Steel Studs as they do not warp, unlike wood studs they do require cross members.

I ended up closing the whole lot in with windows and a Patio sliding door, I was really dumb to think this would work as I had created a wind tunnel, two parallel walls open at each end how dumb is that? leaves, insects, and butterflies were all blowing in and the Gas cooker would also blow out, it was as obvious as night follows day that this would happen but I did not think on it, perhaps I would have managed with with 3 enclosed walls and one open end? but decided to make it safe and secure and no more dumb guesswork.

Where would the wind go during high winds/typhoons if you did that? With both ends open at least the air as somewhere to go. With just one end open I suspect your roof would end up in Oz.

I'm not really into aerodynamics but I suspect the top of the roof being longer than bottom side of the roof causes a low pressure area over the roof. Simply put the roof will act like an aeroplane wing.
