Full list of requirements for foreigners to enter the Philippines: List of countries that can enter: How do you prove you are vaccinated? Quarantine requirements (which are none): Source: IATF Resolution 160-B https://iatf.doh.gov.ph/?page_id=77
Also note, the resolution says: <<Additionally, according to the resolution, starting February 1, arriving passengers must submit a negative RT-PCR test valid for 48 hours prior to departure from country of origin.>>
A lot easier than Thailand, we are currently in Thailand and been through it all. Lots of people online are talking about not going to Thailand and heading to the Philippines now. Lets hope it brings back tourism and they don't change it.
h. Obtain, prior to arrival, a travel insurance for COVID-19 treatment costs from reputed insurers, with a minimum coverage of USD 35,000.00 for the duration of their stay in the Philippines. Any idea why my own private insurance which has no limit isn't acceptable? I assume travel insurance works in a similar fashion. c. National or state digital certificate of the country/foreign government which has accepted VaxCertPH under a reciprocal arrangement; OR d. Other proofs of vaccination permitted by the IATF. Any idea if 3rd party vax verifiers like Clear are acceptable. It works for getting in to a very secure data center in Las Vegas. I know California also has it's own program, but not all states do this.
Both my daughters are already making plans to come visit us in March/April. Fingers crossed that requirements stay as they are or improve until then.
Thailand is going to open up both ways any day now. Got that from a reliable source. Also Mr. Bill Gates did an article where he feels all will be basically back to norm by the end of 2022. Five Countries are opened now and many more will follow suit very soon. Masks will still be required.
Thailand has been open for some time now but they keep changing things and its getting out of control. And lots of people without masks........ They have just announced this statement below for family's traveling. Social media posts most people are saying stuff Thailand lets go to Phils especially family's. (3) In cases of a child is NOT infected, but ONLY his/her parents/guardians are infected, another family member may care for the child. If there is no family member or guardian to care for the child, the child is to be placed in a welfare centre or accommodation under the care of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. I would like to see a lot of these tourists come to Philippines with the easier restrictions. Lets hope Philippines doesn't change and make some dumb rules like Thailand is.
You must have only been here for a couple of months, this country is the source for dumb rules worldwide along with pyramid scams, crooked deals, theft and cheating.
I am aware of what the country is like and I'm sure they will stuff this up. Philippines has got a opportunity at the moment to cash in on tourists that would normally go to other places.
I would think if your insurance covers medical expenses while traveling it would be accepted. You could ask them if they accept it.
