    Hmmmm you know I am surprised any Insurance Company would cover Covid whilst it is still ripe in Asia or anywhere else for that Matter JMHO of course

    I wouldn't think it would be hard to find because COVID rarely causes serious health issues. For the vast majority of people COVID presents itself as, and is no more dangerous than, the common cold or flu. Statistically, and that's all insurance companies care about, it really isn't an issue. If I were an insurance company I would be charging the elderly, diseased, and gimp (the most vulnerable demographics) much higher premiums than your average younger tourist.

    It's a reply on Notmyrealname last post, make a mistake not when I made my post. You must add 3 days self quarantine and 2 or 3 PCR test after arrival, that's the requirement I saw yesterday, how it works in pratice I have no clue, and we all know that these requirement can and will change in future, hopefully in a positive direction. I agree with your opinion about Vietnam is a great place you visit, I enjoy my stay there a lot last time I was there, I had almost forgotten how it is to be in a country where the infrastructure works, no brown out, high speed wifi and their food I really liked

    I finally got a reply from BI Manila regarding my application for a "compassionate" visa extension (beyond 3 years).
    My request was granted, but I'm still required to pay a 15,000 Php fee on top of the regular extension fees for a 4 months extension.
    Oh well, still better than the 25k extra fee for a "regular" 4 months extension beyond 3 years.
