Looking for a new travel / health insurance policy. A yearly family policy would be good, international travel with Covid cover. Any recommendations would be great.
Axa offers those (big French insurer) but am sure you can find a local insurance company doing the same down under. When I still lived in the Netherlands I used to get travel insurance through the automobile club that I was a member of, maybe that's an avenue in Oz also?
I will check that, currently on a AXA policy was 10,600p per person for 3 months. Alliance seams to be much cheaper just reading the fine print now.
Just the other week I was talking with German Ralf a well known Character around here, he was telling me he uses healthcare insurance from Pacific Cross this costs him P35K a year and gives him cover of up to P750K in medical expenses, he also showed me his Swipe card he said the last time he had to use this the bill was around his annual fee but he did not have to fork out any money the card covered it all.
Nothing for us oldies (if you will excuse the term :-) over 65 as a 75 year old I just self insure and also have Philhealth....plus a credit card if necessary. An American friend aged 79 has to leave the Phil's by August as on a tourist visa and his final visa extension runs out. His problem is he can't find any Covid insurance due to his age so can't get back in.
