As an add on to Pat'O's Fish n Chips post, what food do you choose not to eat? ( apart from rotten cod fish ) For example sweetmeats or offal. "Rocky Mountain Oysters" try looking it up on You Tube.
Dried fish, even if i was starving i would not manage to eat it, my wife eats it but thankfully she cooks it outside.
Goat, Balut, dried Fish, Kinilao, anything with Fish sauce, Fish in General, tripe and most other innards. Blood Stew, Baguong, Shrimp that is not peeled 1st. Cow Tongue or any other type Tongue, Testicles & similar Organ dish's. No Hoofs, Feet, Ears, Eyes or Tails of anything. Generally don't eat Rice. The Majority of Philippine wrapped treats or Candies. Warm Fruit salad in tiny styrofoam cups. Any Dish I see more Fat in it over Meat. (I would eat all of it before staving to Death, but I ain't starving.)
I would never ever eat any fast "foods" like McD, aka McDonalds, aka McShite, Jollibee, KFC, all the usual suspects loaded with salt sugar fat. Balut, dried salty fish, all meats. In the UK people used to eat pigs feet/trotters can you believe! Don't eat cakes, sweets, chocolates, white bread, anything processed. Spam or Hot Dogs are just plain disgusting. Biscuits, crisps. Eyeballs, testicles obviously.
Where is everyone's sence of adventure? I had most of what is listed above in the states, road trips to try new things. Goat, Balut, dried Fish, Kinilao, Fish (either I caught it or bought it) tripe (fresh only) Blood Stew , Cow Tongue or any other type Tongue, Hoofs, Feet ( pig and chicken) Ears, Tails. Also, turtle, gator, rabbitt, deer, wild boar. Can't say I enjoyed all of them, but what I MOST dislike is durian! Easy, worst thing I have had. Tried it fresh, tried it candied, and then Ice-cream. 3 strikes
