    I don't know.
    Well that all changed.

    We arrived and went.

Spent a bit of time in Duma, Valencia and Cebu, caught up with some old and new friends but after some long hard thinking and talking with a few people we decided not to relocated to the Philippines.

Our main reason is the education but the place just felt different since our last trip in 2019/20.

Strange how our view changed, we have been to the Philippines so many times before.

Also I think staying in Thailand for 4 months before really spoilt us and changed our view.

So for now its back to Australia. I arrived home a few days ago, wife and kids will follow in a few weeks.

So Ozz, you say it's changed even though you have been many times previously, in what way?
Inflation has happened just about everywhere around the globe in the past 12 months or more
How has Philippines changed compared to Thailand? Q: Is Thailand an option?
My wife will travel to Phiippines at the end of the month, although I chose not to go with her, the provences have always appeal to me.
With what's happening in Europe at the moment, I think Philippines is option to consider.
Interested to hear more Good luck for the future....JB

I fully agree with the education part. But I don't see any significant change since 2019/20. Can you tell us what felt different ? Sure, the Corona story changed a few things. But maybe you mean something else.

Good luck with your life in Australia. Anyone with children has to think very carefully about relocating here as the public education system is truly shocking - a child will be set back many years unless the parents pay for private education but not all of that is good either.

IMO Australia has real potential and at least it has some assembalance of laws compared to the Philippines.

Let's talk the PI briefly, no rape rules in reality. Police do nothing, contact afterwards by the accused is OK. Mosquitos everywhere. Barking packs of dogs, and zero respect of any animals. Cock fighting sums it up. Little driving sense, in fact plain stupid. Crash helmets for example. No real infrastructure. Rosters 24/7.

So the only attraction is the women lets be honest now.

Oh I forgot the worst food in Asia and a backward religion. Did I mention the heat humidity??

Hell on Earth as some one called it.

And even if you love third world wild west...
    You cannot own property.

Plus side easy visas Lol and the above says why!!

Thailand is not generally Third World.

As they say there's only Cambo or the PI left if you have to leave Thailand.

PI seeems to have an excess of vloggers/beggars. Just saying, not any issue with them, as some good information and entertaining to.

    Great Malls have to say.

And yet I might still end up here. My comments are I know negative in many ways and I do swing between the two options and unfortunately for me and my lady violently figurarively speaking. She's great for putting up with me.

Yes well I'd call it more 50/50, the West waste land being a F nightmare. Don't see the Philippines being nuked so that's a BIG positive.

    Just saying.....

Yea you right regards my post.

Not sure I can live in a condo for that long, houses for rent or sale seem very limited looking on line. Especially
having never built anything and reading everything regarding building seems a nightmare. Liverpool John for example.

Definatly not going to rush into any purchase, Valencia area seems the better option as cooler etc or Dauin.

Quick m8, escape back to the UK so you can pay 60% taxes on your wages. Free health care for surgery in about 6-months... shall I go on?
