    Has anyone purchased a R.O. water purification system, and if so, how much was it. Did it do a good, and how much for the filters yearly

    I had a quick look on Amazon a few days ago but couldn't find a good portable desalination unit - one I read about some years ago seems to have vanished. They had units said to be suitable to purify water for brewing!

    Anyone knowing of a good portable desalination system please inform me as the last time I looked there was quite a bit of sea around (but that will need more than just desalination!). I assume distillation would be too small scale but that would eliminate the salt plus all the nasties.
