Wow and you still alive lol. My oldest son is born the same as "normal" people start buying computers at the beginning of the eighties, that time the internet don't have the same functions and services as today, many use the computer for games but also to talk online with people from other parts of the world, fascinating at that time
I was disappointed to see the LinC forum just unexpectedly shut down. The moderators and old time members seemed to always talk about the camaraderie. Too bad the shut down was so abrupt and without any notice.
I don't think anyone has said the forum will be shut down permanently, just that the ownership/operation has changed hands and questions should be directed to their group on FB. It might be that the new hands are having trouble sorting out how servers and forums work behind the scenes. Again, just speculation.
Mystery resurfaces! Yes, I know, an old thread. But one of my fave forums (LinC) has once again been unavailable for weeks. I cannot find anyone who knows if it is being sold, buried, upgraded, or if the site owner died. After so many years I would hate to see it die, but at least it would be nice to know what happened. Below is info from this thread some years ago. The facebook link no longer works. So is there anyone who knows Salty Dog or anything about whether the site will be back.?? "Don Cebu I am Salty Dog on the Living in Cebu Forums website (LinC). Chris is no longer affiliated with the operations of LinC. If you have any questions, you can contact me on the Official Living In Cebu Forums Facebook Group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/cebuforum/ "
I'm not familiar at all with the site, but the /whois information on the domain suggests that there is an ongoing argument/dispute between owner and others (daily management?). View attachment upload_2022-12-5_14-4-21.png
