    That sounds like a good deal. Which Visa Assistance Agency did you use?

    The one in the hallway near Dumaguete immigration. Attached are all the contact numbers i have acquired for them throughout the years. The "Driver" number is the most recent entry, she was the one that did the last pickup for me but I'm pretty sure all the numbers will get you a reply from someone.

    For any visa renewals that can be handled locally the cost has always been P1k, and that includes picking up and dropping off my passport/requirements/payment to my residence in Valencia. It's completely hands off and i haven't stepped foot in immigration in years. Well worth the 1k. IMO.

    I now have a 13A visa and am flying to Singapore March 19th from Cebu Mactan International Airport. Duma BI told me to get my ECC at Cebu airport rather than going to the Cebu BI.

    In the new Cebu airport building where abouts is the Immigration desk to get your ECC? I assume you have to get this stamp in your passport before getting in the queue for passport control? Anyone done this there in recent times?

    In Manila, I went to the passport control and they just sent me to a desk at the end to pay that exit tax, if that's what you mean. Around 2 minutes.

    Thanks Mike appreciate the feedback. I was really wanting to know about doing it in Cebu Mactan International airport but I guess it would be the same. I was under the impression you had to get the ECC before you went through passport control....but sounds like you get after...or during the exit with immigration passport control.

    I exited out Mactan but had my ECC in hand already. Got my ECC beside BI at JRC. Took documents there 3 weeks in advance and than picked up my ECC in about 2 weeks. (maybe faster or slower at times) When at Mactan you hand the ECC to immigration there at your boarding Terminal.

    I heard years back that if you plan to re-enter, one can get an ECC (at Manila Airport) No idea if they do that anymore and have no Idea if you could get it done at Mactan. One thing for sure, you would not want Mactan to say that you need to have it in hand already. Always be prepared in advance, that way no surprises. If your flying out with a Filipna Wife with a Filipino Passport, she will need medical insurance prior you will not. Also when checking in your boarding pass, they will have you pay a travel tax at a nearby counter first. Have a good one OzeMike.

    I have 13A visa and flew out of NAIA in April. Not sure what an ECC is, but I did nothing in advance and just went as directed to pay the exit tax at passport control. Never heard of an ECC or ever had one. Wife did not have medical insurance.

    The more you search this, the more confusing it gets. I was not asked for this after an 18 month stay on 13A visa. I had return flight tickets. The info below suggests only required when leaving for good:

    Eligibility[edit]
    • Holders of Temporary Visitor Visa (i.e. “tourist visa”) who have stayed in the Philippines for six (6) months or more;
    • Holders of expired or downgraded Immigrant or Non-Immigrant Visas;
    • Holders of valid Immigrant or Non-Immigrant Visas but are leaving for good
    • Philippine-born foreign nationals who will depart from the Philippines for the first time;
    • Holders of Temporary Visitor Visa with Orders to Leave; and
    • Seafarers who have stayed in the Philippines for 30 days or more with a duly approved discharge from BI

    All links to the online application form seem to be disabled. More fun in Philippines, as they say.

    Stands for Exit Clearance Certificate. Whom needs one always depends on type of visa and how long they have stayed. I flew out to Singapore last Nov 2022, at that time Filipino Passport Holders needed medical insurance. As always, the line moves in the sand here, and let's face it. There is sand every where.
