These last few days we have heard of four Weather type balloons being "disposed" of.
As far as I know only one has been acknowledged by China as a "Weather balloon " which went off course.
Now we are being reassured that it has nothing to do with Alien's which is a relief,
imagine that...."We come in Peace." lay down your weapons!
I can't understand with all the Satellite technology at our disposal, why would there be a need to use "Weather Balloons" unless it's another re-make of the film Around the world in 80 days...... Just a thought JB

Not safe to use a satellite when the war Mongers that put them there have ears like an African Elephant.
(Transponder) is a device for receiving a radio signal and automatically transmitting a different signal. They are at the point where the communication's are deep with code and near undetectable in low frequency. This is required for Nuclear Submarines or naval advantage. Radio silence at close quarters has major dis-advantages. Hence Balloons.

According to some News stations these are Chinese spy balloons. They made it clear that they are spy balloons because they would go slowly or linger over key US military installations.
If anyone believes those News sources they'd have to ask themselves a couple of questions.
    Can China control the wind?
Could China shutdown all the wind turbines providing electricity?
Somebody doesn't understand how wind works . Could be me, who knows.
On a side note. During WW2 the Japanese did send balloons over the US with the intention of starting fires at random places. Maybe someone should set up a task force to start sweeping the forest floor of debris.
