This just became available this year, if you have any disability from 0 to 100 you are eligible.... you cannot be disqualified if you are 80 or under and you will be vested after 2 years premiums.... the kicker is if you die before becoming vested your beneficiary will get all the premiums returned with interest.... winner winner chicken dinner....

I tried to apply but I do not have a valid US ID that is a requirement. DD214 not accepted. Haven't found a way around that, unfortunately.

Yes Pat that seems to be a problem as I too only have a "myhealthyvet" login which for some crazy reason they do not accept.... I wrote to "ASK.VA" to see if they have a solution and will keep you posted

    This, is worded oddly:
To upload documents from your computer:
    1. If you’d like to upload from your computer, select Upload image from your device, then select the images from your computer. We accept .jpegs and .pngs.
      • If you’d like to instead use a smartphone, select Take photo. You will then be prompted to enter your phone number. ID.me sends you a text message with a link from a 5-digit phone number.
      • Select the link in the text message to go to the photo upload screen. This opens a window in your browser.
    2. After uploading the required photos, select Continue to submit them.

    Also see:
Submitting a photo of your document
If you have the document physically with you, you may take a digital picture of it, save the image onto your computer, then upload it to ID.me when prompted.

If you are taking the picture with a smartphone and would like to submit it from your computer, you can email yourself the photo of your document to access it on your computer. To access the photo from your computer, log in to your email via your computer and find the email you sent yourself with photos of your documents. Then, download them to your computer by pressing ‘download image’ or ‘download file’.

You may also save it to a cloud (such as Google Drive, iCloud, or Dropbox) to access it from your computer.

Well you are correct that you can upload without a phone BUT you must have US Phone to complete registration... so back to square one... what worked for you living in US does not work for those who live in the Phil.... Thanks anyway....

Com Mon Gents. The internet invites miss-communication. Lack of detail to ones post any where on the Net, is confusing at best............too many details can also be abruptly confusing, so we all try to ski the down hill with out crashing into each other. But we do crash often by not taking the time to reply to a post reasonably! All Vets are in need of a good system so as the thread states...............add info and hope it helps. To all that have served.......we salute you and you should not be treated like a bank, Making it Sooo difficult to gain what you have earned. Cheers and this forum strides that Dumaguete is the place of Friendly Peoples. Have fun out here! All Vet's have sacrificed and that should be understood back home!
