Thanks CHD - no problems with the website and the mobile app opens up OK, showing past transactions, just cannot send new.
I resolved this by deleting and re-downloading the app. Then when I managed to open 'Send' and tested the rate, I was shocked to find that the fee has increased by 70% in the last two weeks.
I did cancel one, but not for the first time. To give Wise credit, they have replied to explain how to use the cost search facility, so can choose cheap or more expensive swifter transfer. I've always paid the same in the past by default and have had almost instantaneous credit into bank with that at times, so I'm still a little confused why it would suddenly be more expensive. Still the best value transfer facility that I'm aware of though, and I have accounts with three such companies to compare.
How can I use wise? without a credit card from my UK bank. only got a Pinoy debit card. The bank charges me 25 GBP for bank to bank which I think that's a bit steep.
I don't use my Aussie credit card with Wise Jim just have my HSBC account in Australia registered with them and do transfers into my BDO here.
