    The problems and frustrations of building a house in the Philippines (Negros Oriental) have been discussed several times in this forum. As it seems, you can be lucky or unlucky with a project. We may want to build a house in Dauin soon. My wife comes from this area and knows a few construction companies, but is just as inexperienced as I am when it comes to building a house. How about a prefabricated house? I have found a few companies on the internet that manufacture such houses in the Philippines. But the choice is not very big. Does anyone know of a
    company that carries out such projects in Dumaguete and if so, are these houses normally of good quality. Like insulation, strong, long lasting etc. Of course, the price also plays a role. Thanks for some feedback or advice.

    Don't see much from Dumaguete area, but here are 2 with the best reviews. Not many reviews as it is what you make of it.

    Top right of page there should be a red 1.. where is says INBOX. If not, you have your settings set as to not allow conversations! If that is the case...........cursor over your User name on the main Forum start page top right. Drop down menu appears. Click on Privacy option... scroll down to (who can start a conversation with you) select option> Members only etc.

    BTW. Most prefab's resemble containers. Mass production and simplicity is the name of the game. The 1st link I gave you at SMART HOMES, will try to accommodate a custom design. Go deeper into the site to explore that option. A solid build home will increase in value, a prefab not so much!

    I asked my wife who built our houses and she can't remember his last name but his first name is Rudy. He at one time was under the engineer Roger Yukor. Did a fantastic job building our house. Your wife may be able to figure it out.

    Sorry, I checked and saw I sent the conversation to myself instead of you.

    My house in Bacong is mostly prefab from a local builder. 1 1/2 yrs no problems with prefab walls and floors. Builder from Canada. You are welcome to see it. my wife designed the house and worked with the builder ( I am handicapped) so I can't tell you much about the construct. Builder built a 5 star hotel on Siquijor. Has a website showing many of his homes.
