Is it just me or does everyone here get almost all deliveries from Lazada with damage ?
During the great shweppes tonic water shortage of a few years ago i used to get 48 cans delivered, some cans were always damaged and sometime 3 or 4 would be so bad that they were empty, complaints went nowhere so i had to live with it as you could not buy tonic in this area.
Now the tonic crisis seems to be over so i rarely order anything unless i think it's indestructable or you simply cannot buy it here, 2 months ago i ordered a 1kg reel of welding wire, you can buy this here but it's more than twice the price, they even managed to damage this, see attached pics.
Last month i was looking for remote control ceiling lights, can't get them here, Polaris out of stock.
I ordered 2 of them from Lazada but when they arrived i told the delivery guy the damage story (as if he was interested) and said i was going to open them to have a look before i paid, he looked at me with horror and said if i opened them and then did not take because of damage he would have to pay, i told him to take them back them and he was not bothered and took them back to the van so i just took them.
Surprise surprise when i opened them they were in pristine condition BUT one box was missing the remote controller....arrgh arrgh.

Over the years I have ordered lots of stuff from Lazada; my "your orders" section has 57 pages, of 14 orders each.
In my experience stuff almost always arrives in pristine condition, with at worst a little damage to the packaging, but obviously that is subject to the packaging applied by the seller (who in most cases is NOT Lazada). I even ordered a television, a laptop, a bunch of decorative vases, lightbulbs and similar "handle with care" stuff, but the only cases where I have resorted to returning have been very few instances where I didn't receive what I ordered and/or stuff that wasn't "as advertised".
In all I think I returned things 3 or 4 times, out of 700+ orders that seems quite acceptable to me.
So no, no complaints here, other than delivery sometimes being slow (especially when it is an order placed with a Chinese seller). Some logistics companies are better than others though, Ninjavan is better (faster) than Entrego for instance.

Is writing about Shopee off-topic? Well, here goes!:

    1. I have to sign in just to browse the site. And what a palaver that is. Choose email login and they then ask sms/phone call verification (which can be hit and miss at times). They also have that slide-thing verification. Like as if made to do 4 puzzles before allowed into Hypermart.
    2. "Sellers'(scammers) sending cheap products instead of the item ordered. They have recently been told that in law the selling site (e.g. Shopee) is legally responsible.
    3. Sending an item not ordered and getting COD. My wife pays in advance to avoid this but someone in the house accepted and paid P500 for an item worth P200.

I should probably have mentioned in my previous answer that yes you need to be very careful in selecting what and from whom you order, and not fall for the many instances where fake products are offered as being the real branded thing (but at much less than half the regular price). This happens both on Shopee and Lazada, both sites are very similar in that respect. The checks and balances that exist in Europe to avoid such scams have yet to be implemented here.
