I must have misinterpreted your reasoning for "mostly all summer" and "need to move"

In looking around the internet it seems that AC mini-splits are generally single zone. You see a lot of that in the Philippines. It seems the multiple zone mini-splits are heat pumps. I'm not sure why that is, but I like the idea of having multiple zones and being able to move the cooling to where I want it instead of having multiple smaller compressors. It should provide better better cost efficiency. I have a two story house where the first floor is open to the second floor, so my thought is a mini-split on the first floor with 2/3 zones and then ceiling fans on the second floor. Since cold air sinks that keeps the living floor cooler and the relatives on the second floor a little warmer, but with ceiling fans. I have found some heat pumps, like this https://www.daikin.com.ph/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Multi-Split-1.pdf , but there are few and far between.

I said ( need to move ) Because I'm fed up with having to tolerate the loud disco sh!t every summer.

Even if heating isn't a primary concern, it might be worth considering a heat pump system since they function as efficient air conditioners and support multiple zones.

While it's possible to find AC-only mini-splits with up to two zones, anything beyond that typically requires a heat pump. Heat pumps are flexible and provide higher SEER ratings, making them more energy-efficient. This can be a significant benefit in a tropical climate like Dumaguete, where controlling temperatures in multiple areas is important for comfort.

Platforms like AroundWire can also help HVAC professionals not only optimize their installations but HVAC leads generation through targeted networking and business tools, allowing them to efficiently connect with potential clients in need of advanced cooling and heating solutions
