I wrote something recently about this but can't find it here now.

The latest evidence points to this probably being very bad and mostly in the first quarter of 2024.

Not sure of the effects locally but in 2016 (which seems to be lesser than this one will be) there were States of Calamity in Cebu, Bohol and Bayawan (from a quick perusal of the information but others will know more about this).

Major effects would be on agriculture, energy supplies and (obviously) water supplies. In 2016 parts of Cebu "would experience low pressure to no water supply for 15 hours at a time from 6 am to 9 pm".

    Best to start thinking ahead.

Pouring some reassurance on excessive anxiety for the short term:

However, yes, the outlook further down the road pretty much spells progressively worse circumstances for agriculture, potentially ending in outright disaster. Too early to panic about available drinking water though.

Been almost 2 years since we had a Major Typhoon, Cyclone, or flooding incident. We are over due for sure. Last night From Dumaguete to Bais City was a red alert flood warning, but it never came to be. Have fun out there!! Bound to get rough.
