Do we really have a choice? I certainly know which parts of this world, I would not wish to live in right now. Can violence be justified, is the fear young people are growing up with, giving them hope for a better future, I think not. Whatever my own beliefs may be, I'm so glad I'm not starting out in life these days. The sad truth is that life has no value, forgiveness is not in the modern vocabulary of many people, thats why the world is experiencing the upheaval of the present day. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. (Mahatma Gandhi )
Why is the world the way it is? I only have an opinion, not necessarily based on actual facts. It seems to me people lack respect for one an other. There are reasons for that. I don't care to debate any serious issues with anybody. Everyone comes to the discussion with facts, their own facts. It's not possible to have a meaningful discussion when people are dealing with delusions. Now I'd like to think my facts are better than the other persons facts but who is to say which facts are true? When people don't have respect for each other, how came they come to a meaningful agreement?
I would like to think, that we all, would like to see a better world, one at peace, where our grandchildren can live in harmony with their neigbours and the earth. Maybe I am deluded, but it keeps me sane in this crazy world.
Humans are Animals with learned behavior's, socially formed ideals derived from Dogmas, superstitions, miss-guided teachings and often extreme prejudice's and biased principals . The many many culture's we are divided into can practice to be civilized but are not. It is fully unrealistic to think we as a whole can be or ever will be truly civilized by definition. Mankind is in fact very uncivilized and remains in large part..... "Barbaric"
While I agree in part.......... I would like to think, if you change your thinking, it can change your behaviour towards others and the world in which we live in.
