In years past I have mailed form SSA 7162 to the US embassy in Manila. I mailed this form to Manila embassy in October 2024 but my SS check has been suspended. The US embassy website in Manila now shows a P.O. Box address in the US to mail form SSA 7162 - does anyone know a mailing service in Dumaguete to send this form with tracking to a P.O. box address in the US? Anyone else encounter this issue?, please chime in with your solution- many thanks!
I have never received an actual annual report, the address to mail the form I found is to a USA PO Box. Used to be a person could mail form 7162 to the US embassy in Manila now it looks like that option is gone. I hesitate to send/receive any mail in this country without tracking , esp with sensitive info. Fedex won't send to a PO Box - is there another trustworthy mailing service available? I'll call the embassy this week and try to find accurate up to date info
I have used Dumaguete central post office registered mail for 16 years for the annual report mailing . No problems. Where to send form SSA-7162 OCR SM? Submit Form SSA-7162 to: Social Security Administration, P.O. Box 7162, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18767-7162.
Pat, Thanks for your reply, just to be clear - you used the Duma post office to mail forms to a USA address?
Just a heads-up in case it didn't really register, Pat did mention he uses "registered" mail. That is essential when using PhilPost.
I FedEx the form to an associate in the U.S. and then have that person send it Priority Mail (since it has a tracking feature) to that P.O. Box on the return envelope. Works so far for the past few filings. Costs a bit more but I don't trust PhilPost to get anything anywhere and there are FedEx and Priority Mail tracking numbers so I can be sure it gets there.
