SHOCK HORRER, i have just received an email to inform me that as of 16th May the monthly cost for starlink is rising from 2700 to 3800 php.
I can't be bothered to work out what that is in percentage but it's a lot :greedy::poop:

    A 40% tariff:bag:

3800pp is 16% cheaper than the 80usd charged in the country the satellites are launched from.

High speed internet is like shabu. At first, give it away to get them hooked.

It seems that the introduction of Starlink into the Philippines came under the PSA (Philippine Space Agency) Incentivise project thereby, indirectly, subsidising the cost of Starlink in the Philippines. The Incentivise project was funded by USAID which has now been stopped by Mr T - Hence the cost is passed to the customer.
