    I don't know.
I think dryness is the main issue with wax build up. My ears have been better here in a humid climate. I still need to lubricate/soften the wax from time to time.

    Some great tips here........
Hydrogen Peroxide ( Don't use it on your hair unless you want to go Blonde!)
A Vacuum Cleaner ( must be a well known brand )
A Camera ( micro one of course )
Baby oil, Vegetable oil, Palm oil, Anything you can fry an egg in! ( Frying pan to big )

Seriously only had my ears syringed once with warm water, choose not to have that done again.
There are drops available over the counter, or a few drops of warm oil helps as already suggested.
Another alternative that cleared my head and ears was a swim in the sea allowing the salt water to penetrate the ears.

I had that done in the army. They used a high pressure spray. That'll bring tears to your eyes. I'll never opt for that again.

The only time I have issues here is when I regularly use my earbuds. Great for noise cancellation and blocking out all the barking dogs and catcalls I get during walks, terrible for compacting ear wax. Risk/reward I guess.

The other option obviously is to just go "bungol" (deaf). Might be helpful if you have a nagging asawa lol
