I have a few containers here in Korea where I grew some cherry tomatoes, mild Korean pepper and Okra last year. From late last fall and through the winter I would put some veggie scraps in and turned everything over this spring and figured we would see what would pop up this year.

I have a few plants with red leaves that have come up and have no clue what they are and was hoping someone my have some insight. I've watched them pop up with the first leaves being green, which started turning red when their first true leaves came in so I'm leaning against them just being weeds. They are slow growing as this is over a months growth at about 2" tall.

Looks very much like acer palmatum,a small ornate tree.
