Bad News for you, NMRN. Many countries have been out of Democracy Salad for a long time. Mostly due the absence of Democracy.

Maybe we need to define Democracy before we declare a shortage.

When the concept of Democracy was taught to me in school it was basically "give everyone the facts and let each person cast their vote, majority wins". Some will argue democracy is more nuanced than that which is fine, but I think my basic definition holds true.

Lack of facts, that's the problem.
I used to enjoy a good debate, not anymore. Everyone comes to the podium with their own "facts".
