Does anyone have any recommendation for health insurance for healthy 60 yr old Australian. Looking mainly for accident/trauma with an eye out for the unexpected
If you have an ACR-I card (resident alien) you can avail of PhilHealth for approx P2400 per year. This does not offer a lot of protection but one very good thing is it guarantees the hospital will treat you if you have an accident of need emergency services no questions asked. That is very important in a country where if you don't have cash in hand or insurance will let you bleed to death in the emergency room hallway without treatment. If you want more comprehensive insurance Blue Cross Philippines offers health insurance. Also if you travel frequently and have a Gold Visa or Gold MasterCard and use it to pay for your flight most of them offer travel insurance free for 1 year. If you are interested in more info on same PM me. I will try to answer any questions.

The only drawback of that place is they don't except any sort of payments, you need to go sit in western union for some time and fall in line to pay then go back to philhealth to give them the reciept. I suppose this is why we have wives and girlfriends!
Agreed that is a pain... You can also go to the main office of Philhealth in Daro above the Mercury Drug store at the corner of North Highway and E.J. Blanco where you can do everything from start to finish.
We can but last time we went there I looked in the door and decided another day would do but only the wife
Me and the SO just renewed around middle of January for 2016 and it only took about 25 mins. Was the finger directed towards me or PhilHealth?
