The internet is not great here in Bacong but it seems to be useable for light web surfing. I will not praise it beyond that. I actually experienced more complete outage of the Smart internet while I was in Manila and thought there was something wrong with my new phone. I have yet to experience the brown out Jack mentioned, something to look forward to I guess. Welcome.
Brownouts are not nearly as common in Dumaguete as other areas of the Philippines. You can almost predict them in Valencia. Sundays and heavy rains are the most common times for brownouts.
Welcome to the forum and area whatsisname. So far not so many brownouts in my area this year, but a good idea is to have a generator, even if it pisses off your neighbours.
