Roger, welcome to Dumaguete and to the forum. I suggest you frequent places where Americans hang out, such as a large McDonald's breakfast-coffee crowd every morning, you could try Sans Rival at the mall at lunch time, and different places along the blvd in the evening. Using this forum is a good start and hopefully people will invite you for a beverage or whatever.

You could post which state you are from, married or single (here), interests, etc, which may be helpful.

Meeting people here isn't that hard. Depending on your interests of activities you might find it a little bit more challenging. However, if you state some of your interests to give an idea, there are better options to get response.

good advice Pat, Mc Donalds.... certainly the best option to see how you don't wanna end... unless "floating (grumpy and complaining about everything) off a chair" is one of the local activities you wanna participate in :p

jokes aside, it is really hard not to run into foreigners in Dumaguete and to have a chat.

@Broadside: seems like a Roger-invasion. I could post a picture-series of the skinny Roger. That gives you a head-start to get to know who is who...
