Checked out the new Starbucks next to Gerry’s today. I was disappointed, downstairs small, cramped, uncomfortable chairs, coffee ok but 15p higher than the medium cappuccino at Bo’s. I am unable to climb the stairs to check out the upper level. I actually went there to have an everything bagel and cream cheese. I requested toasted well done and crispy like I enjoyed them everywhere else, uI received it soft, probably microwaved.
At least they have an everything bagel and cream cheese. I was not aware they were available anywhere in dgte. I have seen “bagels” here that were just baked bread in the shape of a bagel but not real water bagels. Does Bo’s have them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not much of a bagel (white flour) eater myself, but they used to have descent ones in rolin pin. But the bread changed a lot the times when i still bought some bread there. Sometimes it was really quiet good, sometimes not so.
I know what you mean about the white flour. White rice is not good either with its high glycemic index and tendency to build insulin resistance. But once in a while...;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am not surprised to hear you are disappointed. black coffee, overpriced, like every Starbucks on earth. No reason to waste money there, bagels or not. I try to avoid all these chains spreading out like pest.
It looks popular though. We tried to go there but parking lot filled. Maybe I’ll try again in the morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Likely the least of your worries. Concentrate on what really matters if you are trying to lose weight/be healthy: If you aren't tracking your calories and macros you are wasting your time and/or worrying about the wrong thing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with white rice when accompanied alongside a healthy diet and exercise. MacDonald's is popular too. Things that idiots find poplar does not mean that idiotic thing is a good idea to put in your body. Personally, I have found Starbucks to be one if the worst, most diluted and most overpriced garbage coffee to drink. Their "breakfast" food items are ok...if you are on a Fatboy diet.
Based upon this glowing recommendation I will be there first thing in the morning prior hitting McDonalds for lunch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Go to the Rolling Pin, they have pretty good bagels, plain, and with either white or black sesame seeds.
