Yep they are annoying we have a fair share of them and Mosquito's. We are about 200 meters from the sea. But more annoying is the barangay disco booming out noise every Saturday for two months and the grand noise this weekend till Tuesday. It grinds on till 2 am.
That is no joke Jim...I feel for you mate. They seem to think loud equals good here....it's enough to drive you batty.

John boy, tried the ear plugs 20 years ago when I first visited Fils they do not work with 87 db bass blasting out. As for Mosquito nets not very practical when drinking my coffee on the terrace.
