If your mission was to sweep after napalm strikes maybe you would have a different opinion.... as a battalion 1.4 it was my job to call in these strikes and join my attached company in sweeping the results... which btw included more children than you were led to believe... so yes I was deeply affected
oh, some of us ? where were you while this was happening... ?? All we ask for is a little respect for what we endured, which was the intent of my previous post... something you seem to lack by your response

I am sure you did not mean to, but some things are best left alone as there are some of us that would sooner forget those memories...

Wow. What happened in this thread? Wasn't it about some pictures that were completely unrelated to Vietnam/military service?

Kennedy’s assassination brought LBJ to power, a person of rather limited intellect who escalated the war to the catastrophe it eventually became. Kennedy did not believe in the discredited domino theory especially embraced by McNamara as a simplisand was on track for wisely removing the US from this civil war begun during French colonization. France warned us to stay out and Kennedy would have followed their advice. LBJ and Nixon’s legacy... terrible.

In response to "...if you are an American or any other fighting entity other than Vietcong, you were NOT victim of napalm in any way."
"Burning girl" was a Pulitzer Prize-winning photo that bolstered the anti-war movement tremendously. See here:
It also taught the military to limit press access in future wars.
