    Hi Guy and Gals,

Anyone know where we can get fish for our indoor pond ?
We’ve seen small fish for sale on our walk abouts around town but nothing that would grow to about 6 inches.

Seen fish in the pond near the bottom of the market and cathedral that fit our needs but there not for sale.

    Any ideas ?

This aquarium shops have KOY for sale. Cheap and they grow big
On the side of the Police station, and next to BPI north highway are two of them.

I had a pond in my front yard in the US and I put just plain old regular orange goldfish in it. Same old regular goldfish you can get here. They grew to 8 to 10 inches and ate the algae in the pond. They were so bright, because of eating the green algae, they literally looked almost neon. They were beautiful and very active. They would often dart around in a school. I had about a dozen. Then my next door neighbor "did me a favor" and put a large mouth bass in my pond. He did not know that you cannot put an aggressive fish like that in a gold fish pond. That bass ate or killed every goldfish I had. I couldn't say anything as he was a nice guy plus he was a retired federal judge and did me a lot of favors at times. Oh well. Regular plain goldfish in a large pool can grow to 10 or 12 inches. If you doubt what I say about the size just google it. Also look at google images and see how bright they can get. They get bright eating the green algae and they keep you from having an algae problem. That was why I originally put them in the pond is to eat the algae that we had so the water would be clear.

Yes, I agree goldfish are a great option, we too had one big one in our pond with the koi back in the UK.
We do like the goldfish , just wanted to see something a little more tropical while we’re here.

As a fishkeeper for 55 years I can tell you that a pool here will turn green unless it is partially or completely covered with roof. That is unless it has a big filtration system. I keep a community pool of tropical fish and aquariums. Decided to get few koi again this year knowing that cleaning the pool would increase tenfold. Nishikigoi (brocaded carp) and goldfish "poop a lot". I have minimal filtration but water straight from a waterfall source. So I just empty and replace some water now and then. Make sure you water is not chlorinated. If it is you will have to dechlorinate it.

Hi Guys, thanks for all the information.
Bought some koi and goldfish a few months ago now, unfortunately they all died, I believe there was an issue with what someone had used to waterproof the indoor pond we had.
I was a fish keeper ( tropical and cold water fish ) for 30 yrs, so before anybody asked about the water quality and filtration etc it was all fine and up and running a week before I introduced the fish.
No longer at the property with the pond now.
