Never seen any either but there are turns which are smaller. There also bees but mainly wild bees and only in the mountains. The only place I have see European bees is the bohol bee farm. The wild bees here are pretty big and I wouldn't want to mess with them!
Yeah but why are they not migrating from nearby countries. Is there a seagull network that has blacklisted here?
Seagulls in general are less common in tropical regions, most kinds prefer colder regions. Not sure about the bees but maybe they also prefer a colder / less humid climate.
''a guide to the birds of the philippines'' shows 4 species of gulls in da fils (herring, slaty-backed, black-headed, black-tailed) but none are on negros. 3 species are classified as rare and one is uncommon.
We often get the large Black Bees here at night (Maluay-Malatapay) they get attracted to the lights and TV etc but no European type Bees, what surprises me is I have not seen a single Crow (raven) like in Oz where they populate the Cities and run amok in rubbish bins etc... Almost every morning I would wake to the sound of Crows communicating with each other where I lived in South East Queensland. I read about Asian Crows (one was sighted in North QLD a few years back and caused a fair ruckus as apparently they like to pluck the eyes out of young livestock o.O ~> True or false?)
