Thank you, gentlemen for the advice. I really appreciate it.
Can anyone recommend a reliable person who can help me train how to handle a gun? I'm 5 feet 1, no male presence in my household, these punks keep coming back, scaring the daylights out of my mom, police are no help unless a crime has already been committed. A gentleman here advised not to get a gun unless I have the intention of shooting someone. It's a shitty situation. A live wire will not deter them as they can climb on the front gate.
So, I'm getting an airgun for now. Thanks again.

You can buy motion sensors that will go off if someone makes it over the wall.

Dogs are known to work as long as the bad guys don't try and poison the dog as they've been known to do know and then.

More than one expat has expressed a desire to get wasp spray for personal defense-the kind the shoots 30 feet. All kinds of reports of it being very effective.

I like the electrified fence idea actually if I were having problems with locals.

Those infrared deer cameras would snap a photo/movie and help you ID anyone who made it over the wall

air guns are easy to use, just need to find an area to have some safe practice, there is a double pull air gun available first pull 700fps and second pull 900fps, a nicely placed shot in the butt is not life threatening, fit a good scope and bobs your uncle very accurate

I had a solar powered fence charger I used when first got here years ago, had it sent from the US, I used it to keep the loose calves, goats and dogs from reaching in through the fence to eat my plants. Then used it around the garden to keep the 2 legged animals from eating my veggies, got a couple of people yelping on that one. I used it on top of the wall later when completed. The short 3 inch pieces of garden hose is a decent insulator, cheap, and you can go across the gate with your wire, stop it with the garden hose at the end. and have a piece placed for your hand to un hook the wire across the gate. I used the cheapest wire here at the hardware store, the thinest works best. Also if there is a place that is easier for any to jump over, I placed strips of plywood by my banans that kept getting stole. Forgot to say I sharpened 100`s of nails and drove them through the plywood then covered with leaves. neighbors said they heard 2 times yelling. After that, the bananas will rot b4 being stolen.

 

Forgot to tell maybe a trip wire to cans or, to a ? you can ask any for ideas to this one, I wont post that ideas.

I agree with a cow fence not mains power it can be a to permanent solution.
