    If this is a room with entry doors and or cabinets you may have to trim the bottom of all doors to accommodate the higher floor.
    Also if this adjoins another floor you will have a small step to deal with after doing this.
    Just some thoughts.

    We installed tile on tile recently. City Hardware sells a type of acrylic paint to apply to the old tiles prior to installation of new tiles.
    I had a small learning experience with large tiles (80 x 80)cm. The darn things were not flat so they are uneven. If I had graded them for flat, concave or convex the results would have been better.

    Shouldn't be a problem unless the old tile is coming up.
